Sunday Social Craft Club - Upcycling Launch Party
Join Ailsa Lyall from The Great British Sewing Bee in the launch of their new event, with an afternoon of fashionable upcycling! We encourage both expert and novice creatives aged 16+ to share in the joy of sewing, make friends and learn from one another in a relaxed social setting.

Teenager Fashion Swap - Wardrobe Switch Up
For teenagers (strictly from 12 years +), a fashion swap event where you bring in your unwanted teenage wardrobe and can switch up your style with upto 5 “new to you” items.

Repair Cafe with Repair Cafe Glasgow
Come along to our monthly repair café, bring your broken stuff, and we'll help you repair it!
We meet up on the last Saturday each month to try fix things to prolong the life of your household items alongside tea and cake.
Repair Cafe Glasgow is run by an amazing team of volunteers. Repairs are free however we do accept donations.
Smith and Gibb Pop Up at BAM
Rebecca Devine (Smith) is the founder, designer and maker of Smith & Gibb, a jewellery adventure inspired by her grandparents, Trevor Smith & Margaret Gibb. Rebecca marries family sentiment with contemporary, bold and colourful designs from her workshop based in Glasgow.

Emma Wylie Pop Up at BAM
Emma Wylie is a fine jewellery artist based in Glasgow. Each piece in her collection is designed and made by hand, created in small batches using traditional goldsmithing techniques.

Make an African headband with Nephtali Couture
Join Nephtali Couture for a workshop on how to make a braided headband using African printed cotton fabric! During the session, you’ll walk through all the steps together - so all sewing abilities welcome! All materials provided!

Charity Seconds Sale with 1 of 100
A charity seconds sale from our range. All proceeds from sales will be donated to local southside charity, Milk.
Milk offer friendship and solidarity to folk and families who are trying o build a life in their new home in Glasgow.

Rags to Riches - Pre-loved Market @ The Glad Cafe
Rags to Riches is the reuse and upcycling arm of Govanhill Baths Community Trust. We run both outreach and public creative workshops across textiles, woodwork and plastic studios to engage communities in reuse and the circular economy.
Join us this Second Hand September as we take over the Glad Café for an afternoon of second hand stalls, music and creative workshops.
We'll be hearing from Labour Behind The Label and giving you a practical way to take action in the ‘Say No to Shien’ campaign to fight for garment workers rights across the globe.

Creative Repairs for stains Workshop
Do you have stubborn stains on favourite clothes? There are many creative ways to cover stains up and keep wearing clothes which might otherwise be discarded. This workshop is for all ages (+7 years), and will be a hands on session for you to learn and apply those skills in tackling stains.

Second-Hand Circular Sale
Bawn is hosting it's third Second-Hand Circular Sale for Autumn/Winter 2024. Everyone is welcome to come and shop for hand made and previously worn garments as well as surplus fabric from makers unused stashes. Those who wish to submit garments and fabric to the sale must do so by August 25th following instructions outlined on the Bawn website.
